CRM selection in Hong Kong
Compare workflows, permissions, integrations, export and total cost using the same sales scenario.
Author:WeTech technical team · Updated: (Hong Kong time (GMT+8))
Set mandatory workflow, access, data-use and exit conditions before scoring CRM options. Agree weights before reviewing proposals and test the same scenarios. Feature count does not establish fit: verify enquiry-to-opportunity, reassignment, duplicates and exports.
When to use this guide
For teams comparing CRM demonstrations delivered on different assumptions or subscription tiers.
CRM evaluation worksheet
| Area | Common scenario | Record |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow | Website enquiry to opportunity | Steps, manual effort, limits |
| Access | Manager reassigns; employee leaves | Roles, audit trail, revocation |
| Data | Duplicate customer and export | Merge, history, attachments |
| Cost | Same users and workload | Plan, implementation, recurring fees |
Apply gates before scores
Require evidence for essential exports, departmental access or mandated integrations. Optional features should not compensate for a failed mandatory condition. Label higher-tier, add-on and custom dependencies so they are not mistaken for included native functions.
Keep reasons alongside scores
Have user, management, data and procurement representatives record observations against the same scenario. Use explainable ratings and pre-agreed weights with evidence and limitations. Untested functions remain unverified rather than receiving an assumed pass.
Trial the exit as well as entry
Use de-identified samples to trial import, deduplication, routing, tracking and export, including activity history and attachments. Confirm organisational administrators, supplier access, support and contract-change terms before purchase.
Illustrative scenario
Hypothetical comparison: give two platforms the same repeated enquiry, then test merging, reassignment, source retention and activity export. Fewer clicks do not compensate for a missing mandatory permission control.
